We want you to understand what working with The Makaranda Method may cost before we begin, so you can look at your options and decide what works for you.
We currently work with clients in Colorado and offer both insurance and private pay options for clinical sessions.
We also have a membership fee for all clients and couples that work with us.

Insurance
If you plan to use insurance, we can help you understand what your benefits may cover before you begin working with us.
What you pay for therapy will depend on your individual insurance plan, including your deductible, copay, and coinsurance.
We also accept HSA funds for eligible clinical services.
Book an initial consultation and upload your insurance information.
We’ll verify your benefits and give you an estimate of what your plan may cover before you move forward.

Private Pay
Your rate will depend on the type of care you receive and the provider you are working with.
Private pay is also available if you prefer to work outside of insurance or if The Makaranda Method is not currently in network with your insurance plan.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If we are not in network with your insurance company, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
A superbill is an itemized receipt for clinical care that includes the medical billing information your insurance company may need when reviewing your claim.
Reimbursement varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
All private pay and insurance clients participate in The Makaranda Method Membership.
The membership gives you access to courses, practices, meditations, guidebooks, and resources that you can return to between sessions and use in your everyday life
We’re beginning with this structure as we roll the membership out and will continue refining it based on what works best for our clients.

$189 per month
The membership is designed as one membership per household.
If you are working with us as a couple, you only need one membership between you.
How Membership Works With Insurance
The membership fee can never appear on a superbill or be submitted for insurance reimbursement.
It is an educational and community offering, not a clinical service, so it carries no medical billing codes and sits entirely outside what insurance covers.
Please budget for the membership as its own separate cost, apart from anything your insurance may reimburse for therapy sessions.
The time we spend together in a session gives us a place to work with what is happening now.
The membership gives you something to return to between sessions.
You may use the resources to ground, work with your attention, practice mindfulness, listen more closely to your body, or spend more time with something we have explored together.
The goal is to give you practices you can keep using in your own life, in your own time.
