Today I will share a version of the story that holds the ancient Prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor. I read this story in a book called "The Soul of Money" by Lynne Twist. Living amidst the majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado, I had several profound encounters the other day with three bald eagles flying over the pond behind our home. I had just read this story and could feel the powerful energy these birds of prey held within themselves. This experience, coupled with my time living in Central America, where the Condor holds remarkable significance, has sparked a desire to share this story with you.

This is an ancient tale told by the indigenous people of Peru—a prophecy for us all.

In the beginning, all Earth's people were united as one, but over time, they diverged into two distinct groups: the people of the Eagle and the people of the Condor.

The Eagle people have remarkable achievements—making technologies, constructing complex buildings, and mastering the arts. They are people of science and cognition, creating tools that expand the intellect and the mind. Yet, despite their material success, they are spiritually impoverished, their existence at risk.

The Condor people on the other hand are grounded in the Earth—feeling the depth of the connection to the natural world. The people of the Condor have deeply attuned to nature and intuition, profoundly connected with ancient wisdom and the cycles of the Earth. They understand the interconnectedness of all living beings, moving through many spiritual dimensions. However, they long for knowledge of the material world, and their existence is also at risk.

The prophecy says that at this time in Earth's history, the Eagle people and the Condor people will rejoin, remembering they are one people, saving each other. They need each other in order to continue living. Together, and only together, will the we thrive in this interconnected world.
